Sammy Ferber is a Chicago-born artist living in New York City, where he attended New York University's Tisch School of the Arts. He is an director, writer, and actor in various media.

Sammy began performing at the age of seven at Lake Forest Children's Theatre in Lake Forest, IL. At 16, Sammy joined the Actors Training Center Repertory Company, directed by Janet Louer. The Repertory Company specialized in musicals with young actors in a professional environment. Janet became a mentor to Sammy, and he went on to do more than a dozen shows with her over the next three years.

In his senior year of high school, Sammy became a state finalist in the Illinois High School Musical Theatre Awards, for his role of Robert in Company at Deerfield High School. 

In 2014, Sammy began his education at New York University in Tisch School of the Art's Experimental Theatre Wing. After his sophomore year, Sammy left school in order to go on tour with the 20th Anniversary National Tour of Rent.

After playing Gordon/Mr. Grey/“The Man” and others on the first year of the tour, Sammy took over the role of Mark for the second year, after which he returned to New York to pursue other opportunities.

In 2019, Sammy began transitioning into more directorial pursuits, serving as the Assistant Director under Maridee Slater for the world premiere of Steeplechase at the New York Fringe Festival, and eventually training with John Grabowski post-Covid to continue honing his skills.

Most recently, Sammy worked under Ken Davenport as the VIP Concierge for Harmony on Broadway.
